The Mk4x4 was first produced back in 1996 using Suzuki SJ running gear. There have also been several models produced using Vitara and also Daihatsu running gear.
New for 2026 we are now offering an all new Mk4x4J based on the Gen 3 Suzuki Jimny (1998-2018) running gear.
The styling for this new variant harks back to some original drawings by Robert Mandry that we discovered of a potential successor for the Mk2 clearly showing a more raked back windscreen with a sloping bonnet line. The angles for the wheel arches and side panel remain similar to that of earlier Mk4s.
It is still quite clearly a Scamp though!
The demonstrator vehicle is nearing completion and will be available to see at the 2026 Kit Car Show and the new Replica and Self-build festival.
